In the past couple days, the Xenaverse has been rocked by the news that Renee O'Connor recently cut her hair short for an upcoming storyline on Xena: Warrior Princess.  Xenites everywhere have been anxiously speculating as to why this happened, and just what it is going to mean.

I don't know why or how, but in the wee hours this morning I was Inspired.  So, with apologies to ... well, pretty much everybody, I present:

THE TOP TEN REASONS GABRIELLE CUT HER HAIR

10.) She would much rather Xena haul her around by the BGSB.

9.) Heard that the pixie look is now all the rage among absentee Amazon Queens.

8.) Those comparisons to Lyceus were getting just too creepy.

7.) Got sick of it getting caught in the brambles whenever she and Xena ... never mind.

6.) Saw the game film of her charge against the Romans, and vowed never to look that dorky in a helmet again.

5.) Made the mistake of trying out Salmoneus' new line of hair-care products.

4.) Misinterpreted Xena's holding a sword to her throat and growling, "Don't even think of changing your 'do, Goldilocks" as an invitation to a new campfire game.

3.) Getting ready to audition for the Athens premiere production of Peter Pan.

2.) Xena's heading out on a long fishing trip.

And the number one reason Gabrielle cut her hair:

1.) The djinn made her do it!
